Things are starting to clear up finally, and am now looking to start IDPA competitions in the next 90 days, but have a question.

I have a Beretta 92 with: 1) after market adjustable sight; 2) "D" spring which gives it a trigger pull of 4-5lbs; 3) hogue finger grips.

Would this pistol be legal, and if so, what category would that be?

Sounds like a typical gun for the SSP class.

As long as the trigger doesnt look different externally, it should be good to go.

It seems like the thicker the rule books get, the more vague they get.
While the style of sights is elaborately described, there seems to be no mention of adjustable vs fixed sights, at all.

Because it doesn't matter if they're fixed or adjustable.

It doesn't matter as long as 1) they are some form of notch-and-post, and 2) the gun fits in the IDPA box.
