Anyone recognize this mould casting?

Dad and I were down in his reloading room the other day and he showed me a lead cast projo that he thought I had left there. I had not, and neither of us have the mould for it. He would like to locate it, it appears to perhaps work in the FAL, in 308 cal. This one is a flat base, sorry for quality of pics, but this was the third try, I am not a photographer fer sure. I will do my best to attach the pic. The bullet is right at 151 grains. He has cast many up for the autoloaders, high in printer's lead, making them quite hard, and has very little trouble with leading. They don't hardly mushroom either when shooting through wet telephone books. They just function the autoloaders without leading.

I now relalize it appeared that dad had cast up many of this mould design, but I erred. He's cast many in other designs for autoloaders, mostly M1 and the M1 carbine. He was wanting to find this design only with a gas check. I originally thought this was maybe a sillouette, but no.

Is that actually full diameter (.308"+)?

It looks like a paper-patch bullet to me.

I don't know where you can find a GC duplicate, but NEI offers two similar bullets near that weight:

It does mic .311, just called it a .308 out of habit. We both have that Lyman 130-SP mould for the x39. After loading, can't tell it from FMJ ogive 'cept for the lead color. The NEI has the more similar shape in .308 than .311, but neither has more than one grease groove. The pic above has three, and we did like that, ya know, more lube holding qualities.

We just can't figure out where it came from, neither of us have the mould, and dang few of our shooting friends that come over to visit cast their own.

Dunno whether you can tell it in my pic, there are three grease grooves and a small crimp ring just above the top grease groove.

Ya know, I think I have that bottom mould. Didn't think about that one.

What number is that top one, looks to be a little heavier than the 115 fr plinker I have for the 30-30.

There the same 311314 Lyman ,I take it & smash the point down to a flat point for the 30-30

I now cast a 311041 Lyman at 170ish & it works good sized to .3105" in my 336 marlin.

Okie, no innuendo, surprised to see a boolit without a gas check for a "modern" cartridge. The molds I use for my 7.62x39mm are gas checked, just caught me by surprise there. The 16 Lee tumble lube has the micro grooves, and the NOE 129 grainer has two.

I wondered if they were the ssme mould at first. At second look, the top band looked a little different, prolly the 'smash' affect did that heh?

I spent a little time with a piece of 60 grit sandpaper and about 200 311410 style 150 grain projos, putting just enough flat area on them to allow tube loading. Just plinking with them with the 14 grain Unique load. Also tried the little 115 grain 3118 (311008) just for fun too. Will look for a mould with a check on it to push faster pills.
