Just picked up a new Walther P99/40 cal. The pistol is an absolute dream to shoot! Once I get used to the unique trigger(took about 50 rds)I was putting quarter sized holes in the target at 5 yards. What is this talk though about cracks in the frame? Anyone have personal experiance with this?

I had a good expierence with my P99 the other day. I tried a 165 grain gold dot with a max charge of power pistol and the groups were awsome. The only problems I have had with my p99 is the slide locking back too soon. I cut off the slide lock tab and it is no longer a problem. My thumbs were bumping the lever causing to lock back. I was trained not to use the slide lock as a slide release anyway. I use the pull the slide back method.

I too enjoy mine. It's a 40 and is very accurate!
A bit "snappy" but so is my Glock 22.
Enjoy!

Glad to hear someone's enjoying their P99. I'm looking to get a .40S&W for concealed carry and it's on my list of probables. Would you consider it for this purpose?

I would consider it a good carry gun redleg. About the size of a glock 19 except that the grip is more rounded making it an even better choice.
