Looking to get another 9mm

I currently have a Glock 19 Gen 4, so please don't recommend any glocks. Budget is $700 or under. I also have a PX4 in .40 and my CCW is a M&P 40c. High capacity is a plus along with a barrel around the 4.5 to 5 inch range. That said here are the 4 guns I'm looking at picking up:
1. Beretta M9 or 90-two
2. S&W M&P 9 (I really love my 40c, so what not a full size 9mm)
3. Springfield XDm 9
4. FNX 9

Now disclaimers and thoughts. First, please don't give me the line "whichever one feels most comfortable in your hand" or "Go rent and shoot them" I've held them all, shot most of them, that's how I got narrowed down to these choices. Second, I also like the H&K P30 in this group but brand new, its out of the budget, but a great gun, I know!! (Possibility, trade in the Glock towards a P30, should I?) But I don't like trading in guns to LGS, they try and take you most of the time. Final thought, this gun is strictly range use. But, if I get really proficient with it, could possibly turn into my sidearm for 3 gun competitions. So, let me hear it from TFL, what should I do?

What do you like and/or dislike about the Glock? That'll help with a recommendation.

Me? I'd go for the 92FS, though I've been very impressed with how well the FN-X shoots.

For IDPA/3Gun, I'd lean toward the M&P9 for consistent trigger, and pointing characteristics.

For straight range shooting, I'd lean toward the Beretta.

I have no experience with the FN, but of the other three, the Beretta is the most enjoyable, IMHO. Good looking too.;)

Consider the PPQ as well. I have the 3.8 XDm and is really nice.

I think the one with the most potential to be turned into a 3-gun shooter is the Springfield XD.

Get S&W M&P 9mm Pro series. You already know S&W makes a great weapon. You'll like the trigger better than the standard M&P and it's less expensive than forking out the extra $ for a trigger job.

pturner67 - I actually thought about that after I made the post. I wanted to see if anyone was going to come up with that.

As far as the glock goes. I'm not a real big fan of glocks and I traded for it to see what all the buzz was about and all the mods and accessories you can do and get for them. Its a good pistol, but I don't need any other models from glock.

Viper - I took the PPQ out of consideration because I already have a striker-fire, 4 inch, 9mm pistol. I know its a fine pistol and its stock is on the rise, but I took it out of the running due to it being similar to a glock 19.

Can anyone fill me in on what exactly seperates the M&P Pro from the regular version? (I'd look it up myself, but I'm at work and S&W site is blocked) I see that its about $100 more and a longer (1/2 inch) barrel but what else?

You couldn't go wrong with a walther PPQ, walther p99, or if smaller is what you'd like the walther PPS is a great option.

M&P or FNX are my choices. I own both and both have been 100% reliable and are very accurate. That said, all the guns you listed are great guns and you're not going to go wrong either way.

I have the Berreta 90-two and the FNX-9. Both very nice pistols. The Berreta does have more weight to it and seems easier to bring on target for follow ups. Oh, my 90-two also happens to be a .40, so the 9mm would make it a very sweet shooter, but even my wife can control the .40 i this platform very well. The FNX-9 does have a bit more muzzle flip due to its light weight, but is also a very fine pistol. Can't go wrong with either.

But, if going into 3 gun, behaps the 90-two would be better suited. However holsters would also be a pain to find. Perhaps the 92A1 would be better? Best features of the 90-two and the 92. More aftermarket support.

S&W or springfield, both feel great in hand, reliable and are good shooters.
