Guys, I went and bought four recently made (likely Italian) flasks that were used at auction tonight for a total of $8.00- two Colt "navy" style, one small flash and one Remington style.

Any idea what size metric screws they take? None of them have any screws holding the spout assembly to the body- why, I don't know. Any idea? No one lists parts for flasks other than springs and spouts.

Find some screws that look right and are readily available.

Get a tap for the screws you find and retap the holes for the screws.

A #12 X 2" sheet metal screw ought to work! :D

You might give Track Of The Wolf a call and maybe they can tell you or quite possibly, they might have some.

If you can't find out - follow Doc's suggestion. Once you replace the screws you'll never take them out again as there isn't any need to. Track Of The Wolf will also have a variety of spouts that should work on them if they are Italian made - spouts in a variety of "grain quantities".

It does make you wonder why they were removed. At the price you paid, you can afford to buy a tap and some screws and fix them that way. You got a good deal! Good luck!
