Please give me a ballpark figure on the value of this rifle.

I have an 1886 Winchester, .33 WCF, 5 diget serial #, (from what I can tell, it was made in 1890, and appears to have been rebarreled later after 1903 for .33 WCF?), half mag, round barrel, fancy grade wood, checkered, pistol grip, metal butt plate. Blueing about 80-85% on bbl, rec/frame is worn and silver colored. Gun functions perfect, is in original condition, but has normal wear from 4 generations of hunting.

Thanks in advance!

$2,500-ish. A premium for pre-1898, a premium for fancy wood, a premium for condition, and 33 Win is not really desirable. If the barrel change is factory lettered, it's a plus. I just bought a 70% condition 1920 production 1886 Light Rifle in 33 Win for $1,000 a few months ago. In any currently available chambering it would have run $1,400.

Thanks. I should get a letter from the Cody Museum to verify the production / shipping date, etc.

Thanks again!
