Anyone own one of the new Beretta 92a1's? I like what Im seeing and reading about these but haven't been able to get my hands on one. Do they handle like the 92fs? The three 17 rd. mags that come with them is a definate plus. Was thinking about getting a 92fs but the added rail on the
92a1 would be a nice feature to have. Just needing info. Calling the local gun shop tomorrow to get a price. If its anything like the 92fs, it will be a great gun.

Shipwreck's not around, so I'll give it a go. The 92A1 has, of course, the rail, a captive recoil assembly, a dovetailed front sight, a slightly heavier slide, a rounded trigger guard, an internal metallic recoil buffer, and ships with the 17-round mags. There are other small differences on the A1; when you mount the slide back on to the frame, the takedown lever automatically flips to the locked position, for instance.

Either way, you can't go wrong. Both the FS and the A1 are outstanding guns.
