Just thought I'd mention that there will be a sporting clays match this Sunday (September 24) at Advanced Bullets in Temple. The match starts at 1:00pm but if you want to meet there at noon we can all get on the same squad (assuming 5 or less show up. Only 5 people per squad) and have some time to visit before the shooting starts.

Everyone wear their TFL T-shirts and we'll have our own "leage". :)

If anyone's interested post a note here and I can provide directions. For reference, Temple is near the Alabama state line just off I-20.

Today's sporting clays match went well. The skies cleared up for us so the threat of rain was minimized. Got a bit hot and humid during the afternoon but not as bad as two months ago.

For some reason the turn out today was not as good as normal but there were still around 25 or so shooters.

I ended up hitting 61 out of 100 targets which is high for me. Missed third place in the Lewis Class scoring by 1 bird. Oh well, maybe next month.

The best part was it was a lot of fun. I don't do this to win prizes (Good thing too :)) but to enjoy myself. Every time I have been to this match it has been a lot of fun and there are always great people there.

Anyway, that was today's trip to the range. If any of you Georgia TFLers want to try this next month, the next match will be on Sunday, October 15 at 1:00pm. That will be the last match for this year.
