Anyone able to point me in the direction of a good scope mount for my 1895 in 45/70? I've looked a little to no avail. I want to mount a modern low power scope for deer this year.

If it's drilled and tapped for bases, any of the various companies make a mount for it. Leupold, Weaver, Burris, Warne. You can even get picatinny rail systems for it.

It's the same base as fits on the Marlin 336.

Weaver (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct default.aspx?productNumber=189486), Leupold (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=644157), Warne (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=253733), Burris (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=182458) You get the idea

Talley Mfg makes a fine set of lightweight ringmounts for the Marlins.

Paw, It is drilled and taped i believe. Havent looked at it in a while as its at the far back of the safe. haha, Any reccomendations for a scope that will handle the recoil of the 45/70?

Ive got a scout setup on my 1895. before that I had a Nikon Monarch UCC 1-4X 20, A a Leupold fixed 2.5 x 20. Both worked well, but I'd give the edge to the Nikon for clarity.

if you're going to deer hunt, look at some of the shotgun scopes, they'll generally offer you good eye relief ( prevents scope eye ) & in lower powers better for practical hunting of deer... my old Marlin 45-70 Rifle just had a cheap Simmons 3-9 power, which I never had problems with... just traded it in on a stainless guide gun... my new Guide gun has fiber optic open sights on it...
my custom Marlin 50 A.E. has a Cabela's Alaskan Guide scope ( discontinured now ), but advertised as zero power with a huge field of view...

if you're really worried about recoil... I have a Burris Posi Loc 2-7 on my 45-70 Contender & on several other hard hitters like my Browning in 338 Win Mag

Weaver 63B is good and cheap, though aluminum. Some claim they will fall apart. Mine is going 10,000 rounds strong...

Leupold and Burris make their own at a considerably higher margin.

When I still had an 1895, I used a DNZ GameReaper (I think) 1 piece aluminum mount with a Weaver V-Series 1-3x. If I recall correctly, at the time, the scope and mount cost just under $200. I think prices have come up some, but not a whole lot.

Both the scope and mount stood up to a lot of shooting, with everything from 800 fps loads you could shoot off your nose, all the way up to 2000 fps fire breathing, gut stomping T-Rex loads (all with cast 405 grn bullets).

I don't regret selling the rifle, but I sure do wish I had kept the scope, and am currently eye-balling another one for an AR project. Check out the reviews of the scope on MidwayUSA.com, they are near uniformly good. The mount seemed a little bulky, but pretty near bomb proof.

Edited:
I won't be one of those who will cry sacrilege on scoping a lever action, but I just reread your post and saw that you have the cowboy version. That gun just cries out for a Skinner peep sight. Not the greatest in low light hunting situations, but they exude class.
