I live in California have multiple 454 Casull, 41 Mag, 303, 8mm, 475LNBGH, 480 Ruger, and other rounds that I inherited from my grandfather and don't have guns for. I called a local range asking if they bought ammo and was told that it was against the law for them to buy ammo from anyone except manufacturers. I would like to make money off the ammo if possible, who can i sell to?

I am not sure if CA has any "special" restrictions.

If not, it is legal for you to sell and ship using UPS, providing you follow some fairly simple marking requirements. A quick call to your UPS shipping hub (maybe not a UPS-mom-n'-pop franchised spot) will allow you to sort that out.

Failing that, if you still have gun shows in CA (they did when I was there, but it's been ten years or so) that would be an option.

CraigsList might be a no-hassle option as well.

Depending how many rounds of .41 you have, and how much you want for them, I would be interested. Let me know by pm.

Keep in mind, make too much money and you have to pay taxes.

I was under the impression that CA did or soon will some some new ammo purchasing restrictions. Quick google search would solve that.

Pretty common on Craigslist. Or Calguns.
