I have a fantastic CCW holster from Crossbreed that is molded to a Bersa 40 UC

The Bersa is a great pistol, but not quite the "right" fit for me.

With a heat source, can I mold a smaller pistol into the same holster without damaging it?

Something like a Kahr cw9 or cw40?

I have heard that I would need to have a wet rag to protect the leather.

Anyone try this?

I would rather not have to spend another 90 bucks for a new holster if i dont have to.

Have you called to see if they could modify it to fit a new gun?

Best solution might be just to sell it.

^^^ what he said.

Sell it and order a new one.

Kydex is very easy to work with using a hobby type heat gun and thick leathe gloves. Heat and work it around the new gun.

I would say to try molding it around the new gun. I know they don't sell for much, even on here. I bought a kydex holster off a guy on here and I got it for less then half the original price.

I have done it, and have also made a few Kydex holsters. It is easy. Heat it up with a heat gun. Go slow and just heat it to the point that it is flexible. Then press it down to fit your gun. Gloves are a good idea.

If you sell your crossbreed, try out the comp-tac minotaur holster. Very similar to the crossbreed, but less expensive and you can buy the kydex bodies for something like $35.

I never tried one, but I hear they are great.

I'm with Ky Jim. Sell it and use the proceeds to fund your next holster.

The folks at Crossbreed told me they would fit my current holster to the new pistol, for $40.

However, I think I am going to at least TRY to heat it and fit it.

I STILL have the option of $40 if I bugger the kydex up
