Do any of you have one? I just bought one, LNIB, unfired. I've been working with it a bit and I must say that it shoots much better than I expected. My 1980 Mini-14, although has been reliable, shoots paper plate sized groups at 100. This new 30 though can be called a rifle. It must be .308 diameter since it shoots Federal factor and my reloads of Hornady 130's into 2-3 inches but some old Chinese steel stuff is good to get into 6".

I'm not too keen on the tactical stock however so I switched to a Butler Creek and will keep an eye out for a wood one at a gun show.

So far I like this thing.

On vacation this week and don't have any on this laptop. Sorry. Put an old Weaver 4x on it with the factory ranch rings. Need some more Ruger 20 round mags.

I believe the Mini-30 has used a .311 bore for some time now.

a guy on rugerforum.net just got one and did a pretty good review of it. I thought about getting the standard mini-30 but ended up with a saiga .308
