After a couple of decades I still find plenty of joy in shooting 22LR. Let me know what you think.

All 7 of my MKII's have a Volquartsen sear, trigger and extractor. Most also sport Tac-Sol Pac-Lite receievrs.

I'm not much for the Volquartsen extended magazine release or their grips. YMMV.

Here's 5 of the 7:

Very nice collection you have there. I notice it looks like all of them or short barrel the exact opposite of what I have. The shortest one I have is a 4 inch I inherited from my grandfather.
I would like to have a Great Eight to go with my other long barrels.

After posting the first article I got a number of emails requesting a bench rest update.

Here it is

Adding just the Volquartsen hammer to a 10/22 for about $40 is an amazing upgrade to the trigger pull quality. It comes with lighter trigger and trigger return springs.

Not that it matters, but the 10" Rugers were called Mk 10's, not Mk II's.

Maybe that's what they were called amongst shooters but if I am not mistaken Ruger called them MKII Targets which is stamped on the receiver as well as the box.

I have the original box which is stamped MKII Target. Maybe it was referred to as the Mark 10 because of Ruger's product code which is KMK10.
