hey guys i dont know to much about 1911's and the market today.. i have a guy offering me a Pointman Guardian Deuce with Fixed sights, and the crimson Trace Laser Grips.. he says its pre-cz and that adds to the value? thanks guys

Pre CZ does not matter. Their quality has not went down at all and still have control of the company. DW's are great guns, but i am not as familiar with that model. Used CZ's in good shape around $1000-1100 are a decent deal anything cheaper then that would be a good deal.

I'm not an expert, but I own one and have an acquaintance who owns two. He says that the new ones have forged frames, where the earlier ones were cast.

The price tag on all DWs has gone up a good bit in the last year or so, and this is one of the justifications that I read frequently.

on dw's sight they say msrp is 829 for this model but they dont make um anymore either.. on a normal gun that if msrp was 800 u should be able to get it cheaper than that.. but ive heard that these are diffrent?

like one of the other posters mentioned, prices on DW's have gone up. But for the most part, they are worth it. Their the only production 1911 made without MIM parts. Some savor in that and others dont care. Im one of the people who dont care, i have many other high quality 1911's that have it, but they dont use the parts in critical areas.
