Just put together my lower for the first time myself (proud)! I have a form1 in, waiting on a stamp...here's the big question:

In 6.8 with 7.5/8" barrel is Piston driven any better, I won't be overseas nor shooting fullauto? I have money saved and I'm debating Noveske vs LWRC.

What do you guys think?

Personally, with your barrel being that short, I would go with the Piston driven system. A DI system with that size cartridge and the barrel being that short, places a lot of stress on the gas key of the bolt carrier group. I would look into Adams Arms Pistons/Upper and go with the Noveske barrel. However, since you are located on the Eastern Shore of MD, LWRC is out of Cambridge which will be more convenient. Good Luck.

I have shot both from a benchrest and I can say for sure the the felt recoil is higher on a piston vs a DI on a 6.8. Good luck.
