Well, just to get something going here, what are your thoughts on changing the USPSA power factor to 165 for both Open and Limited? Sounds like it is going to happen for sure next year.

I think it would be ok, the guns will last
longer and the safety margin will increase,

It doesn't matter what the power factor is, either way you will still have to tune your gun to the loads you are runnin. Making major will be much easier and safer for limited and open classes. DVC

I like the idea.
Char923 is right. As a new IPSC shooter shooting .40, I like the idea of not haven't to use (find) 200 grain bullets or push 180 grain bullets so hard to make major.
Of course, if I'd gone with a real man's caliber (.45 ACP) I wouldn't have to worry about it huh?
Sigh, I guess the gamer in me just had to have those two extra rounds.

Duh? No wonder I couldn't follow the chat, I thought you were talking about rifle. Shooting a 45 acp here, S & B factory loads.

There's no good reason to not have lowered it for this year. The official (lame) reason was something along the lines of "we wouldn't be able to notify everyone in a timely fashion." Huh?
