Ok So I wondering if anyone has any experience with the Pardini Gt series pistols? Im verry picky about my triggers, and I hear the pardini has one of the best sao 45acp triggers. I know a high end 1911 would be a great gun but what can I say there are just too many of them out there, I want something unusual. Thanks in advance.

If it's a Pardini you know it has to be good. Don't they have adjustable triggers? Their magazines are extremely expensive.

It looks like a beautiful gun but, I can't find a price on one so I am sure it's out of my price range for sure! I will guess and say it's cost more then $2,500?

Looks a lot like the old bernardelli p-018.

Pardini IPSC and defense pistols (http://www.pardini.it/weapon/ips_and_defence.htm).

Pardini USA (http://www.pardiniguns.com/)

GT45-5 (http://www.pardiniguns.com/pistols/ipsc-and-defense-pistols/2-gt45-5q)

The one and only current US source appears to be "Larry's Guns" (http://www.pardini.com/) in Maine. From him, the GT45 is a $2000 gun (http://www.pardini.com/Products/Pardini-GT-45-5-barrel__GT45-spc-5B.aspx) (more or less, depending on model).

I don't know much about competition but I'm curious as to why would one opt for a larger caliber for target shooting?

Can anyone explain? Is it just a preference thing?

Larry's a good guy and his shop is only 10 minutes away from me. I looked at a GT45 a while ago, a used one. Has a very wide body to hold but it was comfortable. Used was in the $1200 range if I recall correctly. One still isn't out of the question, although if I was to go that far, a P210 isn't much further.
