Just wondering if anyone out there is using the Sig P220 Compact for CCW, specifically for IWB. Would appreciate any good feedback on this pistol. Thanks.

Not a compact, but I carry a 220 full size. Having the barrel 3/4" shorter would make it easier I'm sure.

Got a Adams Holsters Texas model IWB. Awesome rig.

The 220 compact is an excellent gun. I would like to get one(or a P245).

I do have a P220 Elite Stainless, which is huge and heavy, but I can still CCW it IWB with either a cheap Uncle Mike's soft holster or a Comp-Tac Infidel just fine.

A friend of mine carries a full sized Sig P220 concealed without a problem. I carry a 1911 concealed most of the time and find no noticeable difference between the 5" barrel and the 4.25" barrel.

Sometimes I even carry a Wesson .357 magnum revolver in a shoulder rig.

I think the art of concealment is more about the holster than the gun.

P220 is wider than a 1911. Blockier.

Sig sent me one after a failed Sig 1911, after much dilly-dally on support.

It was way too thick, and I traded it for a Colt 1911.

Full sized 220 IWB is my daily carry. I use the crossbreed supertuck holster.

I have the Sig P-245 which is the predecessor to the 220 Compact. The only difference is the 220 Compact has a beavertail. I carry mine often and just used it for a training course where we shot 400 rounds. It is light, accurate and reliable and is an excellent carry piece. I carry IWB with a Highnoon holster at 4 o'clock and I carry a spare mag on my left hip. It's hard to beat the 245/220 Compact in a .45 platform. Good luck.

I carry one, along with a M&P c 45 or XD c 45, but only OWB with a jacket. That means winter here in Georgia. I have a drawer full of IWB holsters, some fairly expensive, but have never found one that is comfortable for me.

Well, I have a P245, the predecessor to the P220 compact. I love the pistol a lot and have tried to carry it IWB, but I just can't get used to it. When I do carry it IWB, I carry it at 4 to 5 o'clock in a CompTac Minotaur, but I honestly don't find it very comfortable and with my shirt tucked I feel like it makes me look deformed. So I pocket carry a Kahr usually.

Nick70 - I'm a Sig fanatic and have many - I have a sig 245 that I rate as one of my best which has been discontinued and now offered as the as the compact. I use it everyday for my duty weapon and often as a CCW although one slight down side is - because they are all metal an ankle holster is a bit on the odd side.. IWB - supertuck or should holster is absolutely super... and no I don't work for Sig ;)

All the best - Happy shooting...

I chose a HKUSP45C over the SIG P220C when I originally wanted a great carry piece years ago. The 2 are very close in size, and are both excellent guns. The HK pointed better for me and I went with it. Too big, IMO, after carrying it for a while. Now, I carry a 3" 1911 for several years and have no plans to change.

I like the P-245 so well I bought a second as a safe queen I have a leather blackhawk IWB that carries comfortably.
