I am looking to get a 1911 conversion kit for my springfield loaded. What conversion kits has anyone used and how well did they work? What do you suggest? I would like to keep it under $300.

I like the looks of this one because it locks back:

no idea about price.

For what its worth my colt .22lr conversion unit will fit but will not work on my springfiels arm g.i. Model.
Sorry caps but eyes are real bad tonight.

I have a Ciener kit for my "Loaded" Springfield 1911 A1. My only gripe is that I wish I'd spent the extra dough for the "Platinum" model with the adjustable rear. It functions very reliably and gives me at least "minute-of-pop-can" accuracy with darn near any HS .22 LR ammo.
Pity I can't use it on my "Loaded" Champion too, but 'ramped' barrel arrangement on it renders them incompatible.

I bought the Tactical Solutions 22/11 Conversion Kit from Brownells. It cost $429 but is well worth it IMHO - made out of steel and has lock back. It is a real quality conversion kit.
