View Full Version : Walther TPH .22 Value?

I have a used Walther TPH .22 made by Interarms (USA model). I do not have the magazine, as it has somehow gotten lost (which is a real pain as I discovered they are over $100).
At any rate, can someone here give me an accurate figure of what this gun is worth? Remember I don't have a mag with it.

Go to www.gunbroker.com and do a search for auctions that have ended, that will give you a best estimate as to what the current market value is for a Walther TPH. Typically speaking the TPH is a pretty desirable and hard to find gun, especially in 22LR. I don't think you would have much difficulty selling one.

Welcome to the forum.
As you've discovered the mags are quite hard to find and expensive. The .22 caliber Interarms TPH usually sells for between $450 and $600 with at least one magazine. Judging by the photos I'd say yours is on the lower end of condition as it looks like it was carried a bit. My guess is that you should ask between $350 and $400. If you find a magazine then raise the price by $100.
The .25 caliber TPH pistol is much harder to come by, but for some reason the magazines are plentiful... go figure. Unfortunately the two mags are not interchangable. Gun shows may be a place to look for a magazine, that's where I found two of them for my .22 TPH.

Good advice...use the smart search at the top of the home page.
Good luck

One of the things I always liked about my TPH .22 is that it's just like a gun, only smaller.:D
For me the TPH has always made the most sense as a kit gun to carry outdoors while engaging in another activity (e.g.; bird hunting, fishing, etc.). The .22 makes mores sense than the .25. If you ever had to use a little toy like this for defense, you'd have to be really quick and very accurate. Centerfire .25 ammo doesn't give you much (if any) advantage in energy over a hot rimfire .22, and you have to practice, practice, practice, making .25 ACP way too expensive.
One day I was having so much fun with it that I tried to hit the magazine release with my right thumb, just like on my 1911. Got carried away with how well it handled.
You have to have spare magazines to really enjoy this pistol. Unless you have to sell it, find the mags instead and keep it.
My gun had a few handling marks on the slide, just as yours does. A little bit of paste metal polish took them away, and fully restored the piece. Just go slowly and polish in the same direction as the original polishing marks!
