New here.If this has already been asked I'm sorry. What do yall think of the CZ52,I like the feel of it,just don't know about 7.62x25.It's nothing compared to my 40S&W.I'm thinking of selling it to get something else, just want some opinions.

Why? Cz52 is Czech surplus semiauto pistol ( assuming OP is not talking of CZ rifle vz52 )in 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge and has nothing to do with the revolvers.
Chevy, what exactly you want to know? here is some reading on CZ52 : http://www.gunblast.com/RKCampbell_CZ52.htm , http://makarov.com/pdf/cz52d.pdf, http://makarov.com/cz52/
Totally different beast than your .40 s&w this pistol is not for CC of defense but is sure blast to shoot ;)

Explanation:I mistakenly posted a revolver question here and he caught me before I could move it to the revolver section. To the CZ:Just wanting some input on should I keep it or replace it with something thats easier or cheaper to get ammo for.Reloading dies are not that easy to find for 7.62x25.I guess what I'm saying is somebody give me some good reasons to keep the CZ and not replace with a 38 or 40.Already have both,so would be ammo consoladation.

I have 3 pistols chambered for 7.62X25 (2 CZs and a Norinco Tok) and I shoot the dickens out of them at the range because I stocked up on surplus ammo. The only new ammo I've ever bought for them has been a couple of boxes of Wolf hollowpoints in case I feel it prudent to stash a CZ52 on the job "just in case."

As a big fan of them, I hate to see someone give up on CZ 52s. With some minor tweaking and a Harrington firing pin and trigger kit, they become very affordable yet very potent handguns. I shot those Wolf hollowpoints, btw, into wet newspaper bundles and stacked 2X4s. They went deep and expanded very well, way better than any 9MM HP I've tried.

Why give up on the gun or reload for it when you can get 1260 rounds of ammo for $138.00? The great thing about milsurp weapons is the milsurp ammo. If one stocks up at first, when it's cheap, then it's pennies per round for tons of shooting.

I don't know how long they'll have this but some of these will keep you shooting for a while:

I've been wanting a CZ52 for a while now. Pm me if you decide to sell it!!! They're great guns built like a tank. I'm a .40 guy too- I own 4 handguns in that caliber. But I have a tokarev, and really want the 52. Happy shooting!!!

Keep your CZ2, and add a couple Tokarevs to your collection. All fire the 7.62X25 round. You stated that you already have something in 40S&W so you have SD/HD covered well. The 7.62X25 is not the best choice in those departments, but it is a world of fun to shoot, and at this time very reasonably priced. Even in commercially loaded ammo, it is cheaper than shooting the 40. About the only thing cheaper to shoot is rimfire.
We don't know how long the surplus supplies at these prices will remain, but at just over a hundred bucks for a spam can of 1200+ rounds, stock up.

Think I'll keep it,gonna order more ammo next week, unless something comes up.Had a Makarov in 9x18 and was offered a 10/22 w/Boyds Barracuda stock and HAD to trade, since it was a before plastic 10/22.

I had a 52, hated the 'ergonomics' with the gun. Very sharp edges and brisk recoil just makes it worse. If I had to get another x25 pistol it would be the Tokarev. But I would *love* to have a PPSH.
