Is this normal? (new Marlin 981t)

I bought this last week and wondering if the following looks normal to you all. I called Marlin and regarding "abrasions" on the bolt, he said it was normal. I'm not sure about the other. (see pics)

I have several marlin bolt rimfires, and they all have bluing worn off the bolts. It doesn't affect the rifle negatively in any way.

The wear on the receiver seems to be a problem though, it is hard to tell in the pic. Is it an actual worn spot or just the bluing worn off?

It's pretty normal for inexpensive firearms. Some companies put the bulk of their effort into getting a good shooter, some put their effort into making a good looking firearm. I bet your Marlin will shoot pretty darn good.
