Okay, I feel like an idiot. I thought I remembered this from way back but I searched the internet and have come up with 3 references with 2 opposite answers.

I have an 1885 Uberti that I've installed a set of Baldwin Sights on. Some pretty good time spent at the range today and my point of impact (POI) was right and required quite a bit of windage adjustment on the rear sight to get it good. I want to adjust the front sight to get the rear windage more centered.

If POI is right, you move front sight __________?

Drift the front sight .050" to the right & you'll get about 5-6" back to the left on your POI. A little goes a long way for that front sight. If your POI is too far right, the rear sight should be drifted left. At some point, you may run out of adjustment, so, you have to drift the front to catch her back up. :)

Thank you sir! May be a bit hard to get .050" with a hammer wack.:)

The rear is a tang sight so no drifting going on there. Just have to get the front right so I'll have the full 30 minutes available should I ever launch some 500g'ers downrange in a hurricane.
