Hey Gang....quick question for anyone who might know. I bought some oxpho blue last year to touch up a couple of blued handguns and this stuff worked great. Fast forward about a year and I pulled it out touch up a scratch and it didn't seem to "stick." Anyone know if this stuff starts to deteriorate after it's been exposed to air a few times? I don't have any other spots to test it on...I'm wondering if the problem is this particular gun's finish or if I need to bite the bullet and just order another bottle of this stuff. Thanks.

I did some research on acids a while ago, and they do lose strength sitting. I didn't know that. Oxpho is acid based. One plus one may not equal two in this case though.

The easy thing to do is contact Brownell's and tell them.
In all likelihood, they'll send you a fresh bottle free.
