The slide and barrel from my factory 9mm with the ones for a .40? Just curious if it would work. I already have a .22 conv and it would be awesome to shoot 9mm, .40 and .22 all from the same gun!

I believe it will. I bought a 229 in 22LR. It had a certificate with it for a centerfire top-end. I had a choice between 9mm, 40, and 357 SIG. All off of the same frame.

If you get a slide in either 357 Sig, or 40, you'd have all the bases covered. You'd have .40, .357 Sig, 9mm, and .22. You can get a 9mm after market barrel to fit the 357 or 40 slide. The only problem is, the sights are a bit different. Not much, but if you where shooting for groups you notice the POI change high, or low.

I recently learned about the sight heights. You can go to SigSaer.com to find out more, but I thing the 9, and the 357 sights are both #8, and the 40, and the 45's are #8 for the rear, and #6 front. Something like that....
