Father and sister each got frozen chops in their stockings. Boys scouts are getting venison spiedies next week.

Being I am a lousy hunter, my son-in-law was kind enough to bless us with a couple packages of deer burger. It sure is tasty, and I have never been big on venison burger.
Back when I was a better hunter(killer), I gave a lot of the bounty away.:)

I apparently am gaining a following for my jerky and summer sausage out in Cali..LOL

Our men's group at Church collected over 100 lbs of venison and after donating some out to a couple of families in need, made jerky and sent it to those serving in Iraq.
We did save some to put into stockings for the local unit deployed.
We received letters back that the jerky was the best gift they had ever received from home.
