I was asked in another thread here to provide photos and ....
I haven't seen this comparison elsewhere on the Internet, so thought I'd take pictures and post it.
I have NO affiliation with any of these manufacturers, other than I bought their products shown below.

Sorry for the shaky-hand quality of these. I'm not the best photographer with this new camera. And my battery was dying, so the autofocus was not working at the end. It's recharging now.
If you want a different angle on any of those, like barrel to barrel from above/below/the side, etc let me know. Or if you want a comparison to KelTec P11, Glock 27 or 19, Taurus PT58, or Taurus PT92, let me know.

You need a new camera, much more than another pistol. Consider buying a Canon next time. They can do some awesome close up photography, and allow you to take manual control of focusing when in macro close-up mode.

Autofocusing often does a poor job when an object is super up close.

Also consider using a more neutral color for the background in your images. The exposure meter on all cameras looks for the equivalent of a grey background that reflects 18% of light. A white background is going to reflect way more light, thus requiring a significant manual override in order to get a good exposure. So make things easier for your camera, and use a neutral colored background.

Just look at how close I was able to focus here on my Walther PPS with my Canon Powershot SX100 IS:

Thanks for the tips, I couldn't find my Sony (it walked off or got borrowed) and this Olympus I got recently because it's waterproof and shoots underwater video of fish when I'm out on my Kayak, but I'm just learning it and had it on "Auto" .... didn't read the book yet or use the proper Macro settings probably. I probably should have shot them on the green carpet, and turned off the flash, which I wouldn't have used a flash with any of my 35mm cameras, but I wasn't thinking except that box was a handy table. I have tons of 35mm equipment that would do so much better. I"m pretty new to (and don't really like) these newfangled digital automated things. I prefer using the aperature to have a long depth of field, and was guessing that on "Auto" with a white background, it would close the aperature down ..... darn technology, I don't even like the toaster deciding how long to burn my toast ... these newfangled automatical things <sigh> ;)

A lot of bad guys are going to get shot in the legs and feet with that Diamondback .380!

Ehh, the stats will just be mixed in with the Glock AD's numbers for the same thing. Its their own fault for not using a holster.

Ill be the first to admit it wasn't but a few months when i started ccw'ing i wouldn't carry anything without a manual safety, cocked and locked was scary enough.
I now own 2 DAO guns i carry with no worry, only because i use a good holster. One my PPS9 is carried in my back pocket wich i keep everything else out of,and i made a leather cover so nothing could poke my pocket and push the trigger, and also the top gets covered as well as its no small gun.

I for one like the looks of the DB,despite not seeing one in person yet.But it reminds me of a Kahr p380 for $100 less, and is its only competition imo.
Its in a league above the P3AT and LCP also.
The Sig P238 has no direct competition either, except the Mustang.Id like to see someone else make something in that category.

I hope DB as a company does well and has good success with reliability and CS,if so they will make tons-O-money.

This could have saved some photobucket space.

Ancient old thread, but I appreciate the time you took to take the comparison photos! Much easier to comprehend then the Mousegun chart.
