View Full Version : A couple of Czech babes

My new CZ pistols. CZ75 Compact 9mm top, CZ83 .380 bottom. The CZ83 is chunky for a .380. But I have big hands and it feels great. And the CZ75 is about as comfortable a gun to hold as you can ask for. After shooting polymer guns for so long, it's nice to have a new auto with a steel frame and a little heft.

Love the CZ 75. That's one on my short list to buy.

Two very nice guns. I've got a 75BD and a 2075 Rami but I've been wanting a 75 compact. Nice addition.

Nice pair of Czech chicks. Bet they aren't the last Czech babes you bring home. Since I picked up my first cZ over 20 years ago I haven't looked back. They fit well in my hand, are totally reliable and superbly accurate.

Every CZ I've ever seen seemed extremely well made.

Not only are the pistols nice, the documentation that comes with them is really nice. The manual is as nice as any I've seen. With the high-quality fold-out exploded diagram. Color cut-aways. Then there's the computer generated diagram showing this particular pistol's accuracy. It included the date and load used, a repesentation of the target and the hits, measures on the spread, mean, etc. Very nice documentation.

Very nice pictures, congrats on your acquisitions!

I have such a love hate relationship with these pistols...

I love their ergonomics and amazing accuracy. These pistols always fit like a glove and I can shoot them very accurately.

I hate their overly complex designs and internals that are very poorly finished, many examples of them looking like they were finished with a chisel and rough file. Sorry but this isn't quality in my book.

p.s. there is no other autopistol that feels better in your hand, not even high end 1911's.

Is that CZ 9mm small enough for concealed carry or is it more of a range gun?

I love my CZ, very accurate and yet to fail. Very reliable and good looking. All steel.

You just gotta love the CZ's. I, as well as my gf, love my CZ75B. She, or I, may end up with a P-01 in the future..

Nice pair of all steel handguns. Enjoy your new toys.

It conceals very nicely. The barrel and the grip as a little shorter than the standard size gun. It seems very slim for a double stack 9mm. I carry my Glock 30SF concealed and the CZ makes that look like a canned ham.

Right, those CZs are babes. I have carried the CZ 83. The 75B and 97B are just too big for me to carry. They are all good shooters, the 97B especially make me look good. I like blued all steel pistols.

If CZ would put a respectable trigger in their handguns from the get go, I would like them alot more.

if other people are interested in the CZ83 pistol, i'd reccomend a surplus CZ82 pistol. they're nearly identical, half the price, and are chambered in 9mm makarov, which is less than half the price of 380 ammo. sure its not a brand new gun, but its basically the same, shooting a slightly wider in diameter projectile.

Standard size CZ-75s are workable, though the compact size models would probably be better for most people.

+1 on overall ergonomics being first rate--grips/feel right up there with the HP and that's saying something. It's been years since I seriously shopped the CZ75--that would have been close to the original series--and the only "fault" for me was a long DA trigger reach for my small paws. Not entirely un-doable, but not ideal. I swear I did hold a recent 75 variant (or perhaps different CZ model) that was better in that regard--maybe a P01 or such? What do you say? What was it that I likely was looking at of the newer models, CZ-wise? It was, relatively speaking, a full size gun.

Heck, what a disappointment this post is!

When I saw the title for this thread, I was hoping to see something like these two Czech Babes:

Isn't that the truth. Held just about every gun I can think of but my 75BD wins hands down. Is it really that hard to make such a comfortable grip these days?

Question:

What about conceal carrying a CZ 82? Do they make holsters for them? Can you use a CZ 83 conceal holster?

LanceOregon, your babes are definitely high caliber!!!

The CZ-83 and CZ-82 are the same gun except the -83 is the civilian version with a really nice blued finish. Any holster that fits one will fit the other.

If 'pretty' is not a high priority, grab a CZ-82 while they are readily available and still fairly cheap. They will show a little wear on the finish, but the barrels are chromed and polygon rifled. Every one I have handled had very good triggers, in both single and double-action modes. They only come in 9mm Makarov, but that isn't a problem. The ammo is available and not high priced, even in JHPs.

About how much does a CZ 82 weight? I like (love) the caliber, is easier to get ahold of than a 380, and is cheaper than most 380s right now. BUT, I want something light.

I have a VZ70 in 32 acp, shoot very well in SA, DA first shot is not to hot but will get the job done...I think a CZ 82 and a 1000 rounds would be fun.... guess I need another CZ... my 40 B is a dream!! if you like the 1911 you'll love the 40B...

Beautiful guns! I am about to purchase my first pistol and I've only read good things about the CZ 75B and CZ 75 Compact. How much do these typically go for? I've heard the feel and accuracy is amazing. I think I'm going to purchase the compact because I will have the option to use it as a carry and it'll fit my hands more comfortably.

You should be able to find a new CZ75 for about $500-550 without too much trouble. Mine was $499 OTD. Gotta love tax-free NH!

Very nice, I may go for the compact. I'll find out this weekend which feels best in my hand. I'm not sure if i'll actually ever use it as a conceal, so I just want the most comfortable. I'm also looking for slightly used, i'm eager to see what I find. They're such beautiful guns and i've heard so many positive things about them.

Thanks

Picking up two CZ82's tomorrow from Aimsurplus. They are here in OH. Will post pics of what they look like. Paid the extra $10 to get the two best of ten. I like them because they give you two mags with purchase. Plus, they are local for me.

Congrat's. The CZ 83 is a great little shooter. I have two; blue and satin nickel. :)
