Just curious who has any experiance with these light weight carbines and what makes them so light? from what i could gather they where/are available in 9mm & 7.62x39 as well.

I have one. A couple of things I notice is that the barrel is thin all the way down it's length. Also, there isn't a elevation adjustment on the carry handle. There is no forward assist, and no shell deflector on the upper receiver. I am sure there are other differences.

My Sporter is the one in the middle. The one on top is an airsoft gun. Lol.

my sporter has the elevation adjustment on the carry handle. the forward assist, and the shell deflector on the upper receiver. so aside from the pencil barrel there must be something making it so damn lite i love this thing.
i must go to the range today:D
