Tell me a quality .22 that I can get for no more then $125 and I don't care if its used, but it has to be in ok condition. I'm dying to get a good plinker, but I am on a college kids budget.

As far as what I've seen, you can get decent .22's for that price, but most of them tend to be youth-sized ones, something like the Cricket rifle, which I suppose you can still use if you're not very big and don't think it looks too silly. $125 can buy you a very respectable larger caliber rifle however.

Look around for a used Ruger 10/22.

Go to local gun shops and gun shows. You can get military trainers for very cheap, certainly less than $100. I recommend just about any bolt gun out there. marlin makes very good .22's. all you have to do is look around, you will find a good deal out there. Its going to be used, but there is nothing wrong with that as long as the metal is in good shape. For less than $100 there is a good chance the stock is going to be beat up, but again, the metal is what is important.

Skip the used Ruger.Head straight to Wal-Mart & get a brand new Savage for right around $125.00
Both bolt action & semi should be available.

What part of Fl are you in? I've got a Winchester 190 that I was going to sell for $150 (without the scope).

Im sure you'll get alot 10/22 suggestion's but i'll tell you that my first .22
was a Mossberg 702 plinkster and I could kick myself for selling it.
Bought new for around $109.

10/22's are great,I own one,but like you said college budget...
