Waited a year for a Springfield EMP that never came. See,,,I have small hands and am left handed. Can anyone recommend a similar small sized 9mm. I've heard Colt use to make a small frame model in the 70s..?..Has anyone duplicated or bettered the EMP? Regards.

Sig 239.

I have kinda small hands and I am left handed. It is a single stack .9mm, same as the EMP. The 239 is DA/SA so it uses a decocker while the EMP is a 1911 variant. The 239, like all P series Sig's is set up for right handed folk. Be that as it may, I have no problem operating the controls on the 239. The only control I don't really use is the mag release which I generally don't use in the first place.

I'm also a lefty with small hands. I have the Kimber Aegis II and love mine. However, the safety is not ambi, so I sent mine in and had a factory ambi safety installed, making it about perfect (cost: $80). Got it back fast (about 2 weeks). However, finding one may be as tough as finding an EMP. Can't recall seeing either in a dealer's showcase in months.

I am also a lefty. Get a Colt new Agent or Defender and step up to a 45 better aftermarket and better round .
