Okay I'm looking at two different stock sets right now for my AK-47. The stocks which came on it, while not terribly unpleasing, leave a lot to be desired in fit, finish, and cleanliness (Romanian GP WASR). I'm currently looking at the Russian Laminated Stock Set $159.99:

The pluses and minuses as I see them...
Russian Laminated Stock Set Pluses:
-Classic AK-47 look
-High quality fit/finish
-Very solid feeling
-"Authentic" Russian
Minuses:
-Heavy
-Much more delicate than plastic
-Doesn't count for compliance parts
-Half again as expensive as the K-VAR
-Requires some maintenance of the wood
And the plum K-VAR stock set $109.99:

K-VAR Plum Stock Set Pluses:
-Unique look
-Lightweight
-Extremely durable
-Convenient side-mount sling adapter
-Requires no upkeep
-Considerably less expensive
-Counts as US compliance parts
Minuses:
-Doesn't look like a "real" AK-47
-Doesn't feel as good as wood
-Fitting isn't as simple as with a wood stock set
Which one would you go with?
