I'm having trouble removing my lower synthetic rail. I pulled the little tab up, now what?

Any answers would be appreciated.

thanks.

I take it you already removed the top hand guard/gas tube, and you gained access to your lower hand guard? You said you pulled the little lever up? Well the part that that lever is mounted to slides forward on the barrel. Lightly tap it with a mallet or handle of a screw driver until it moves forward and out of the way so you can remove the lower hand guard. You might be able to get by with trying to wiggle it side to side.

Edit for clarification:
Ok, I'm going to ask a different question; which lever are you talking about? The one that holds the upper hand guard and gas tube on, or the tiny lever that holds the lower hand guard on? If it is the top one, then you need to take the receiver cover off and remove the recoil spring/bolt carrier, and bolt. Then flip the lever up and remove the upper hand guard/gas tube assembly.

Then you can remove the lower hand guard by the instructions I posted above.
