IF it is a true 1 click = 1/4" at 100 yds, then yes, 1 click = 1" at 400yds. However, that is seldom the case with cheap scopes (and yes, the Bushnell Banner definately falls into the cheap category). With most cheap scopes, 1click really winds up being closer to 1/2" at 100 yds - sometimes even more no matter what the manufacturer claims.

And there's your problem. Next time make sure you have the RIGHT socks on. Both feet. No left socks this time.

dico if 400 yards is going to be your self imposed limit then set your rifle to shoot somewhere between 2 and 3 high at 100 yards and then start shooting a slow 3 shot group at different ranges out to 400.Even on good scopes that number canchage just from the hieght the scope sits above the bore and the quality of the scope. Do knot forget to check at a distance of mybe 110 to 200 max check your scope for zero at different end of the power scale of your scope. If you don't load and your guns ae bolt guns do try horrandy light mag loads. They do offer some extra fps and use a good bullet with the sst. My 7mm re mag will shot a 300yard zero ,and 200 is 2 i/2" high 100 is 2" high and 400 is 6 1/2" low with there `139gr sst so i never touch the scope ,just range yardage and shoot. After that it's hard to see a deer with good binos to know if its worth shooting.

With either cartridge, for a 200-yard zero there will be roughly 21" to 24" drop at 400.

1/4" click at 100 = 1" at 400. For a 200-yard zero, come up somewhere in the vicinity of 21 to 24 clicks...
