Well, I finished my 870 last night. She started life as a 870 hd. Paid $350 with tax, added the specops stock, scattergun +2 mag extention, scattergun ghost ring sights w/tritium front, scattergun big head safety, tacstar side saddle, specter gear sling and Surefire front end. Total invested $700. I got great deals on the eatra stuff as I work at a gun shop/range. Im very happy with it and the stock is the ****. It reduces recoil tremendusly. Im still on the fence about the surefire forend. I might sell it and put the speedfeed forend back on. It tends to make the front end a little heavy. Pics.....

I dont have a pic of when I got it so heres a stock pic of what she looked like before

I did that to my HD shotgun once. It took a while for me to realize that I wasted my money and had to spend even more to get it back to "stock" condition...

I still have all the stock components. I wouldnt change the sights cause I love ghost rings and have them on all my scatterguns. Im loving the stock for the recoil reduction and ajustability. Im just not sure about the forend.

I would get a clamp for the magazine extension.

Not my cup of tea, but looks good.

After doing some drills in the backyard/basement, I switched the forend back to the speedfeed. WOW, I didnt realize how much those surefire's weighed untill I put the other forend back on. The speedfeed is staying, the surefire has to go. I like the idea of a light and I like the feel of the surefire, just too heavy.

I like your old stock better. I like the classic look.

+1 on getting a mag/bbl. clamp. Without one it is VERY EASY to bend or break your mag extension. They're not just for looks.

well it appears that you got good quality accessories rather than cheap junk, so good work.

I want it.

Several people have said they prefer the way it comes from the factory.

I say that keeping it that way is no fun. I love the way it looks now!
