This was my Christmas present from the wife.

Took it out last week, and it really impressed me.
I shot 250 rounds of Federal Bulk pack 36gn. without one hiccup, and I hadn't even cleaned the pistol yet. Sighting is useless, and hard to do without the rear stock, so this will make an ideal SBR platform. I've also checked into silencing it, as the barrel is threaded and the hider just screws on. Gemtec makes an adapter, that is the same as the Sig Mosquito's.

This little bugger is great fun, and fairly accurate once you are used to it. I was ringing a 3" steel at 25 yds.

I figured since I can't have the real deal, I might as well have a good runner up. These appear to be built a little better than the rifle version, but YMMV.

All in all, if ya have the money to spend, and ya want a fun little gun, this may be it.
I have a feeling my Charger won't get as much playtime. And this definitely will get shot more than my "new" DE50(that I haven't shot yet)

The plastic appears (actually, feels) More durable. That may just be because there is less of it. I know of the complaints of the cheap stocks on the carbines, so I wonder if the have corrected it. They also offer a threaded barrel with cap, and hider, which is something new for them as well

These things aren't built for anything more than plinking, The guns would do ok but, they have plastic front sights, a PITA to disassemble, and are really overbuilt(for .22's)

Here's a "show and tell" story that will give you young whippersnappers some real perspective. In 50's I took my new (used) Parker SxS Christmas present, cased, on the school bus, to school, for 5th grade "show and tell". The Principal, Mr. Dunkley; a WWII fighter pilot vet, came down to check it out as he was in the market for a new bird gun... a good day!

Them were the days... I could have done that in my area as late as the mid-80's at least. I can't believe how bad it's gotten so quickly...:(:barf:

How do you guys convince a women to buy you a gun for Christmas? I get t-shirts...

Diamonds always work. Always.

I got the jewelry part. It was not diamonds however, maybe that's part of the trouble. I got her a necklace, ring and earring set. Cost as much as a Glock. Problem is, well, problemS are: She knows nothing, NOTHING about guns and she doesn't know I got her the jewelry until Christmas day, which is too late for her to buy me a gun.

This is what he has, it's a GSG-5P .22Lr. I just bought the rifle version the GSG-5L. They go for around 500.00 MSRP. And they are a HOOT to SHOOT!!

I thought about the pistol version for 2 whole seconds. Then came to my senses and bought the carbine. Now if I could legally put a stock on it or make it full auto legally, the pistol would be the way to go.

My christmas present to myself.

The carbine is next on my list. Otherwise I may spend the 200 to SBR it, and another $200 to put a can on it.
This will accept an HK retractable stock.

After living in SoCal for most of my life and only having an old 38 that belonged to my wife's grandfather, when we moved to Oregon I wanted to get a few guns. For an early Christmas present I did get a 1911 Government model (that was built up by a group of gunsmithing students and graded by their instructor - mine got an A-). For an actual Christmas present my wife gave me a Reliability Job for my 1911 at our local gun shop (where the guys there really love to work on 1911's). She knew that I wanted the gun gone through and tuned for everyday carry. It was a very thoughtful gift. Oh and yes she did get diamonds (again).

She knows nothing, NOTHING about guns

That's the wonderful thing about a Gander Mountain, Cabela's, or Bass Pro Shops gift card, she doesn't have to.
