Howdy, I have a Browning model 71 carbine in .348 new, unfired in the original box. I don't believe I will ever get around to using and am now considering selling. Can anyone give me an idea on how much it is worth? or should I keep it just in case my interest changes in the future. I have been told this model is the best lever gun Winchester ever built, and the Brownings are even better, Is this true? any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Bunny, hang on to it if you can, take it out shooting they are a great rifle!
I have a Browning and a Winchester 71. The Winchester 71 is considered by many to be at the pinnacle of lever gun manufacturing. The Browning is a faithful copy with more modern steel. The .348WCF is a great cartridge, but very expensive if you do not reload. From what I have seen the standard Browning carbines are selling at around $1,200.00 a Winchester carbine could be triple that, depending on condition. The deluxe models will bring more.

Hang on if you can.
Here are mine the Winchester is on the bottom.

The brownings may be later made, but the originals are WAY better, just fit better, hand made, absolute jewels.

The brownings are well made, but not better made, it has to do with the training of the people who worked on them.

THe browning is still worth about a grand
