would there be a military manual or other available for this shotgun that goes farther into the gun than the typical owners manual?
specific part numbers, detail stripping, etc....

Like a complete take-down? Might try checking for J. B. Wood's Disassembly/Re-assembly books via Krause Publishing. Found one by "Gun Guides" on Amazon for the Mossbergs, not sure its what you're looking for.

yeah basically, i bought a used one...and who knows what the guts of it look like?

will look for that, owners manuals are usually lacking. i thought since the military uses the gun in some cases...there might be some lit available.
