I want to get my Dad a concealable pocket holster for his .25 Beretta. He has finally gotten his concealed carry permit, but in the past has just carried it in his pack pocket and used a folded up handkerchief to prevent printing.

My question is that i believe there are 3 different models that his black Beretta .25 could be; Bobcat, Jetfire, and one other, maybe Tomcat? I don't know, but my question is how can he determine which model he has? Because I don't believe the pistol says "Bobcat" or whatever else on it. How can I determine which model he has?

Also, they guy that makes the type of holster I want makes the holster with, first, a mold of the gun . Is there a difference enough in the .25 Beretta's that
one gun wouldn't fit properly in that of another?

Whatever help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Jetfire is an older one. Not sure what calibers they came in. Is your dad's an older one or a newer one?

It could be a Bobcat.

Tomcats are only in 32 ACP.

You really need to see the gun.

The gun could be a 950, model 20, or model 21. There is an older model, also.
The model number should be on the gun. If not, post a picture and we can tell you what it is.

Bill Desivs is completely correct. I have a 950 and this is what it sounds like. It is printed on the gun. It has a flip up barrel. Need a picture!

The top gun is a Tomcat .32, the bottom is a Jetfire .25. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, and I won't be able to post a pic, and in fact I want to avoid asking my father anything about it.

What i can say is that it definitely isn't a Tomcat b/c I am sure it is a .25 cal.
And it does have a pop up barrel. For some reason I want to say it says 950 somewhere on it.

So it's either a Jetfire, or a Bobcat.

The aut. pistol of the series 950, manufactured in cal. 6,35 (.25) and serving as base for the .22 short pistols, can be considered as the real pocket weapon for defense and sporting purposes. To its qualities of particular lightness it unites those of precision, sturdiness and security, which are the characteristics normally recognized to pistols of larger caliber, weight and dimensions. Compared with the foregoing series, the series 950 B enhances the results of large and extensive experiences which are proper of the BERETTA line.

The 950-type or Jetfire series is single action .22short or .25 ACP, the Bobcat series or Model 21-type is DA/SA .22LR or .25ACP, and the Tomcat is DA/SA in .32. All have tip-up barrels. The Jetfire and Bobcat will usually fit the same holsters in my experience, although there are some size differences. The DeSantis Nemesis fits both, for example.

No, it could be a Model 20. The 20 is a double action that uses the same size slide as the 950. The frame and double action lockwork is thicker, though.
