I shot one today and it was not a pleasure. The trigger was wierd, heavy and stacked. Recoil did not feel bad, but it jumped pretty good and was not fast on follow up shots. I sloooooooowed down and it hit pretty good but was not as accurate as a 1911 my buddy has that was made in 1917.

It shot more like a rounded off over priced Ruger.... I would be more than happy to give up 2 rounds and get a 1911. That thing is yucky

I like both - a lot. The trigger smooths way down and lightens a bit after 200 rounds or so but it's still up around 6lbs. A trigger job has diffidently made it easier to shoot well. I suspect that your troubles with the trigger are at the root of your accuracy issues because the pistols themselves are very accurate. But you should shoot what you like and I know I love shooting my 1911s as well.
