I've shot a couple of Beretta 92FS's and saw a local store is going to be carrying the 92FS Inox. It says that it can be cocked and locked, which I didn't know existed for the 92FS model. Does this model retain the decocker? And does the safety work like other manual safeties (ie. cock hammer, set to safe and you're good to go) or does it function differently (just like how it's got a weird placement for the safety)?

The safety is a decocker.

"It says"? Are you saying that the gunshop is saying that it can be carried cocked and locked,or some kind of Beretta literature?
Any Beretta 92/96 with a designation of FS cannot be carried cocked and locked.

To elaborate, since the safety is the decocker, you can't keep it on safe AND have the hammer cocked at the same time.

Here is a link to the gun in question:

http://www.reliablegun.com/Reliable/Specials/01775EBC-DCF1-48A8-AD0D-748E1B5B9024.html

It's Sunday so I can't call the store about it. I know that they list guns that are in stock, for example, they have the CZ75 Shadow and it would be available for another few weeks.

But back to the Beretta in question, it looks like a stainless 92FS. The literature in the description matches the write-up for a couple other gun stores on the web. However, I can't find any information on Beretta International or Beretta USA's website. So this is a bit of a mystery for me.

Yep. The Stock and Combat models of the 92/96 are capable of C&L.Also, the price of $1099 for the 92 Stock described is a pretty good price if it's in good condition. The ad has a standard Inox FS pictured.
