Limbsaver (http://www.limbsaver.com/Products/Firearms/Prec.aspx)!!! Works great on my 6.3lb Tikka in 300wm. I'd call and find out what model to buy. Oh and congrats!!!

Either one works. Keep in mind it makes your stock longer by about an inch, they're really thick.

Mine was designed for my Tikka and is an exact fit.

The R3 is a good pad and is a remington item that will be a factory fit. The Pachymar Decelerator is also a very good pad and they make them prefitted to the factory 700 SPS stock.

If you still have problems with recoil after a new pad, you should try a shooting vest or shooting pad that you wear. Browning and several others make them and they run in the 30-100 range.

My rifle comes with the r3 pad on it maybe i'll try it out before buying a pad. is the pachymar pad a slip on or would i have to take my pad off and install that one

the pachymar comes in both slip on and a prefitted that you would have to remove the screws and then remove the old pad and put on the pachymar and then put the screws back in. A lot of work :D
