Yes sir, I'm talking about that rascal in here with all those slick looking high end guns whose pictures has us drooling at times. Well I'm so tired of handgun envy, that I've deceided to save up my money towards a Sig 239. Haven't figured out a caliber yet, but I'm leaning towards the 9mm. Anyone with experience with this model?

Yep .... Purchased a NIB Sig 239 in .357sig and it is my CC in a MTAC. I actually shoot it better than my Sig 229 in .357sig. I don't know why the smaller Sig works better for me, but it does. There is an up-tick in the bang factor over a 9mm, but I'm not recoil sensitive. I did add Houge finger tip grips and that really helps with a secure hand feel and comfort when shooting.

Glad I could help you make a wise decision. It is always better (well usually better) to save a little longer and buy one very nice firearm than it is to rush and buy two or three lesser ones.

Which version are you going to get? I would suggest this one. :D

Those sure are a couple of great looking pieces. Thanks fellas! I'm leaning towards one in blue. I just like the "All Business" look of Sig blued guns. Just curious, did your Sig come with that "Melt Down" or did you have that done after purchase?

The good news is that a basic P239 does not have to cost an arm and a leg. I got this one used for about $400, insisting on a discount because the finish had been stripped off the barrel. I put on the ragged-looking long trigger to replace a pristine and original short trigger.

The "meltdown" is the SAS model.
