+p .45 acp in a Kimber Custom II?

i would never worry about +p loads in my sigs, but what about in my 1911? It is all machined steel, no stamped pieces, so would it be okay? Anyone have experience with this?

I'd get a really heavy recoil spring, and, then use it with nothing but Plus P, and 230 grain ball for practice...Wolfe springs...

Not a problem. Use a recoil buffer pad on the guide rod.
