What makes one better/worse than the other?

M9

92Fs

PS, it's for a buddy in the military. Isn't that unusual! I own a CZ75, Beretta need not.:D

The only difference I'm aware of is the M9 doesn't have all of the warnings stamped on the slide like "Warning guns can kill. Please see owners manual".
I forgot to add- the M9 is built in America, and the 92FS is built both in America and Italy.

The m9 pictured isn't a true M9. the serial numbers aren't the same as true m9's from what i have been told. also the serial number isn't present on the hammer as on a real Beretta M9. it's just a 92FS with M9 slapped on it.

also the serial number isn't present on the hammer as on a real Beretta M9. The serial number isn't present on the hammer of a real M9. The number on the hammer and on most of the other parts including the slide is 65490, which is Beretta's federal contractor code and identifies them as the manufacturer of the part. The serials on the frame are the only difference, issue M9s have a seven-digit number and civilian M9s always begin with M9-XXXX (number of Xs may vary depending on which edition).

The frame is the only part with a serial number on it. Any other numbers are part numbers.

It's a personal preference which gun you want. Esentially they are the exact same gun. Here are the few differences between the two...http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/faq.php?faq=bf_faq_bhandguns#faq_bf_faq_bh_diff

Thank you.

I found out the guns are more or less the same and parts are interchangeable.

I see it's mainly just looks. I like the 92FS better, it's more traditional looking.

Close thread please!:D:D

Sure, if you think safety warnings on guns are traditional looking...
