What is on everyones list for their next rifle purchase? This is what is on mine: TCA Icon Bolt 243,CZ 550 American, or Sako 85 in 6.5/55mm, and maybe later a Weatherby Mark V in .257wm or .270. Today I looked at a 30/30 and .35 Rem Marlin XLR and a Weatherby .257 mag Accumark with the fluted barrel. That Mark V was around $1300+. It is out of my price range right now! Maybe much later! Let's hear what everyone is coveting right now.:)

A gen-u-wine 6.5x55 sporterized with English Walnut and a nice tube. I'm not sure about a scope mount.

Ruger #1 250 Savage for when the boy is ready. Chopped back to 18 inches and stock adjusted for LOP.

I just returned from sniffing out a Stevens 200 in 25-06. Sort of a poor man's project rifle. The barrel will get changed out for a 26" varmint barrel, + a Timney trigger. Already have the stock and scope. Will sleep on it tonight & go get it Monday.

big caliber... If it is like mine, you will LOVE that Savage/ Stevens 25-06. When you replace the barrel are you keeping in 25-06? My 110FP 2506 is hands down my best shooting rifle!

As for my wishlist...
My cousin has Lee Enfield in 308 that is waiting on me, but the real sweetheart is the 6.5 Swede Mauser that goes with it. They are mine as soon as I come up with the $$$$! (Unless my annivesary comes up first:D:D)

Shooter John... Oooooyeah! I did some furious sniffing over a 110fp in 25-06, But it just won't fit right now. Yes, I'm definitely staying with the 25. Been lookin at Shilen and Krieger websites. I like the 26" straight pipes they got. I'm currently waiting on a laminated stock for my 110fp in 308. With that stock, the whole rifle will weigh in @ close to 14-15 lbs. Which is a bit too much to tote around lookin fer varmints, which is why I'm getting the Stevens. BTW, is 25-06 overkill for varmints? And what size game could I be reasonably expected to hunt at what yardage. Happy Shootin' !

My next purchased rifle won't start out as a rifle.
A Saiga20 rebarreled to shoot the 45-70.
An AK(45-70).

The other thing on my wish list... is for me to build.
I need 100 of the same, preferedly used, PC hard drives.
I need the static rotors so I can build my own gauss gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coilgun).
I suck with a bow.

"...tactical bolt rifle..." There's no such thing as a 'tactical' anything.
"...M1 Garand..." Yep. There is no rifle that is quite like an M1. Go to the CMP. Jump the hoops, shoot the matches even if you don't have to(you'll meet some great people) and buy one. Service Grade, if you can. $595. You'll get a rifle that is guaranteed safe to shoot with the CMP's warrantee. If you're not happy or have any issues, they'll fix it.
My list starts with a Purdey .375 H&H double rifle, but I need both of my kidneys.

lol Glad to see people are still trying to keep the misuse of terms to a minimum.

Long Range rifles and Varmint rifles are fine choices. :D

My next build is going to be based on a Stevens 200, as well. .243, 20" Heavy Bbl... Haven't decided on the stock yet. It will be a PRIME opportunity to check out the new Millett LRS1 (http://www.millettsights.com/controller.php/catalog/long_range_scope).

Shortly after that, I will be starting my 5th AR build. This time around, it will be a .204 Ruger, 24" Heavy Bbl.

Stockpile the "Evil Black Rifles" while you can, folks. Elections are just around the corner, and our ability to get them is looking quite scarce after this year.

My next purchase , hopefully, will be either a lee-enfield #4 mk1/2, or a #5 jungle carbine. I would take an Ishapore if one comes along.

I already have more rifles than I have time to shoot. I want a .44 Rossi/Uberti, a Steyr Scout and an AIA No4 MkIV. In any order, but it won't be this year.

I'll be waiting for the new Model 70's to hit the street. Not sure about caliber yet, and will decode on that when I see what styles are available by caliber. I will be buying something in the 7mm, or 25 caliber though.
Just looking at the pictures of them lights my fire.

Either a Stevens 200 or a Savage 11F and an Adams & Bennet barrel in 257 Roberts. Its an intersting caliber and it would be a fun project.

My next rifle will probably be some kind of semi-auto .308. A DSA FAL is a strong possibility.

I'm also very interested in a good .300 Win Mag bolt rifle. There are a lot of good ones to choose from, but a Savage 110FP is among the top contenders.

Me want CZ 452. I was floored by the accuracy of this rifle my buddy managed, shooting offhand. Everyone needs a good .22 rifle, and that one definitely qualifies.
