Newbie to TFL

Howdy folks, I'm new to the joint but I've been on The High Road for a year and heard of this place on THR and a few time on the Radio here in Fairbanks, Alaska... So for a newb question to get my little journey here going:

I have a lovely Bushmaster AR-15, (XM15-E2S, A3) and it has 3 30-round mags already...

Now, I see an occasional show-off pic and see a mag thats either barely in the well or its a higher capacity... such as 40 rounds, like the AK mags.

I scratch my head and then get a sudden urge of thought "that looks quite EVIL... I like it! :D ".

So, 40 rounders, 45 rounders... whatever the Cap, where do I get em? :)

Cabela's has a Triple K 40 round magazine, but in my opinion they're kind of cheap. I think anything over 40rds is kinda hard to find. You might check out gunsamerica.com

24.99 isnt too bad for a 40 rounder...

My honest advice is to avoid 40-round mags for the AR-15. I don't own any, but I've heard they're not as reliable as the 30s and 20s. But of course there are different manufacturers, and some may be better than others.

If you want some anyway, one option is Bushmaster:

Those bushmaster mags are probably more trustworthy than Triple K...
might get one of those and a 10-rounder on the next pay day :)

Its a nice bushy, I got a couple base-priced optics for it, mainly to put some lead through some paper more or less.
