1000 trouble free rounds. It still looks just broke in inside. This gun rocks :D

Just wish it likes SWC a bit better, will fail to eject about 2 or 3 out of 50, other wise this thing never hicups.

I only have about 230 rounds through mine, but it is stupid accurate if I do my part. That grip keeps me honest. Five rounds in one hole @ 25 yards ctc less than 2 inches with a two handed hold and barricade rest on the lane table.

That was out of a 13 round magazine, when I got my grip right and concentrated, the rounds walking along the bottom of the paper and top of the rings all auto-J-magically went into the middle.

Also doing failure to stop drills the results were demoralizing to some other shooters also working at the five yard line. Not so much the hits, but the tempo that was possible with the XD.

I really like my XD .45. Hope it is going to be one of those long lasting guns.

Well, it may not be in .45, but my XD9 is well past the 15,000 round mark and still trouble free.

I'm preaching to the choir but have had the same positive experiences with my XD 45. No failures to feed, fire or eject with whatever I opt to put down the tube. A second XD in 9mm will be joining the collection in the future. :D

I am glad to read about your successes with the XD .45. Being a long-time 1911 fan, I have never found a "plastic" gun I was willing to own. I have been interested in the XD, and loved the way the 5" .45 points. I finally decided this week to step out of my prejudices and I bought one of the 5" Tacticals and cannot wait until I can shoot it. What decided it for me was Clint Smith's statement that he liked the first one he shot so much he bought 3 of them.

I plan on putting the smaller of the two Big-Dot XS sights on it.

Anyway, thanks for the thread and your feedback!
Tony

They are hard to beat. After putting a couple thousand rounds through mine with no one problem, I packed up my 6 1911s 4 Colts and 2 SAs and put them in the bank. the XD goes with me everywhere, with SP101 as BUG.

Why is it that when Gun A malfs, it's because it "Doesn't like that ammo" or "it's a bad mag spring" but when Gun B malfs, it's because it's an obsolete jammomatic or a cheap piece of junk?

I find myself doing it, too. :o

I've got just over 1200 rounds through my XD45 service at this point. It's been a great carry gun so far! I have over 1500 through my subcompact XD9 as well but under 1k through myt XD40 service. All have been excellent on reliability!
