Hey All,
I went to the range the other day and my Ruger 22/45 started to jam after 4-5 rounds fired. This happened a few times, it seemed there was a round in the barrel but the trigger/hammer didn't re-set and the bullets were just geting all caught up inside. Any ideas as what the problem is? Do I just need to clear the b-Jesus out of it?

Just a note, that it was clean before I when out.

Probably some crud in the workings. I had the same issue with my CZ 75, then tried hosing it out with PowderBlast and worked MUCH better after that. Unfortunately I forgot to take off my plastic grips and it half melted them.:(

Ever taken your magazines apart and cleaned them?

My 22/45 started to jam after about 10K rounds of use. I always cleaned the gun but never the mags. I hosed my mags down with BreakFree, took them apart, cleaned them good. No more jams.

Mine jams from time to time. It may need a cleaning or different ammo; Federal or better. Perhaps it could relate to how quickly you fire rounds or work your trigger. When mine jams I am usually firing rounds a bit faster than normal.
