I'm looking at a Danish model 58 Schultz Larsen Target rifle in 6.5X55 Swede for $400. It has a heavy barrel, walnut stock and is based on a German K98 Mauser action from WWII.
It was rebuilt by the Danes and was offered through their version of the CMP. I know that the 6.5 has a reputation for accuracy and reloading is not a problem. My question is, would you buy one, and is this a good price?

Just tell me where it's for sale, and I'll go and inspect it for you, and let you know if it's a good deal. :) JK - I'm not familiar with that specific gun, but the Danes don't typically make crap - sounds like a good to very good deal to me, quite possibly.

I just went to their website, and can't find them listed. I tried to call, but they are closed on the weekends.

Looks like a good half price alternative to a Swede CG63. Even if it needed a new barrel, since it's a 98 action quality barrels are numerous.

I called AIM this morning and the rifles are all gone. Their waiting list exceeds their projected supply.
